About the Play In the play, 27 species put humans on trial for their atrocities, while two species testify in their defense. The prosecuting attorney is an eloquent ventriloquist crow puppet playing the part of Crowtorney, and the human defense attorney will also be played by Conn in a Jekyll-and-Hyde scenario. Marco portrays be the Caterpillar, who recites a Greek-chorus style poem that runs throughout the play and morphs into a Butterfly as she takes the stand to testify. Jackson and Berkowitz will be portraying all of the accusing species. Species Woman, protector of all living things of Earth and the Universe, is the judge:
